Lusty Glaze could pay for your training.

The renowned National Lifeguard Training Centre at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay has just announced an additional date for the latest RLSS National Beach Lifeguard Qualification training course to run from the 7^th to 12^th May.

For this particular week only the Centre has secured a limited number of training bursaries for budding lifeguards or anyone retaking their lifeguard exam.

The latest intake of Beach Lifeguard candidates will have the chance to have their training fees fully reimbursed if they can make the grade and want to take up one of four Beach Lifeguards positions at Lusty Glaze Beach this summer.

In addition there is a further £35 to be snapped up by way of a young persons training subsidy. If you are under the age of 25, and pass NBLQ course and go on to take a Surf Instructor course in the South West you will be eligible for the additional payment.

Chief among our sporting events is the annual Beach Rugby tournament, which takes place every August Bank Holiday weekend at our Newquay beach. This is the UK’s biggest beach rugby tournament attracting hundreds of players and thousands of spectators from as far afield as Wales and North East England.

Lusty Glaze has hosted big surfing events over the years, including the Fat Face Night Surf, plus many local surfing competitions including the Cornish Schools Surf Contest.

Last year guests were treated to performances by the likes of Ben Howard, the John Butler Trio, Reef and The Kooks, as well as loads of smaller, local bands. Watch this space for news of the live music line-up for 2012.
